Sanitary Towel Workshops
The Sanitary Towel workshops in Uganda have been amazing. Hundreds of girls have been taught how to make washable STs, who have in turn taught other girls in the Masese slum.
Moureen, originally a workshop participant is now instrumental in the teaching of MAYI. She says Sanitary pads, they are too expensive for people here. In learning how to make them, that is going to help us a lot because at the end of the day I will be with more than 12 pads and if I know how to make them, that means I will teach my kids how to make them and so on.
We also run washable sanitary towel workshops here in the UK, raising awareness of the issues some women in Uganda face, as well as teaching a great skill and making STs to take out to Uganda.
